While it probably goes without saying to most people, I think it’s probably a good idea to remind everyone (just in case) that we’re now officially only a few days away from Valentine’s Day.

And while I know it’s hard to believe the day has come around again so quickly, I can’t help but hope that everyone is prepared to show a bit of love. It should, after all, be a day when people show each other how much they care for one another – even if they’re single!

Obviously, how you decide to spend the day is entirely up to you, but I’ve discovered in today’s Guardian a couple of suggestions that could be fun to try. For example, in Portsmouth it is possible to spend Saturday writing romantic graffiti with chalk. And athletic types can take part in a love run, scheduled to take place in a number of locations including Manchester, Newcastle and Cardiff.

Whatever you do though, just make sure you’re spreading the love!
